Child safety

Most of our players are children. Their safety and wellbeing come before everything else we do.

Our commitment

Elite Cricket Academy is committed to being a child safe organisation in line with the Victorian Child Safe Standards. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and harm, and we take every concern seriously.

What we do

  • Every coach and staff member working with children holds a current Working with Children Check.
  • Sessions and holiday programs are supervised by our staff throughout, in open training areas.
  • We record each player's emergency contact and any medical needs, and parents or guardians give consent for participation, photos and video.
  • Photos and video of children are used for coaching only with consent, and for promotion only with separate consent.
  • Communication with children is kept to coaching purposes, and parents are included.

Raising a concern

If a child is in immediate danger, call 000.

To raise a concern about a child's safety or the behaviour of anyone at Elite, talk to the centre manager or call Hoppers Crossing on 0485 043 094 or Pakenham on 0485 043 092, or email info@elitecricketacademy.com.au. Concerns are handled confidentially by senior staff.

You can also contact Victoria Police, or the Commission for Children and Young People at ccyp.vic.gov.au.
